BT and Sharedband Launch Bonded ADSL in Lincolnshire
BT, in partnership with Sharedband, has launched a new bonded ADSL service in Lincolnshire. The service claims to offer as much as four times the speed that a regular ADSL connection offers.
The faster upload and download speeds mean that the service is perfectly suited for many business applications such as video conferencing, VoIP (Voice over IP), off site data back ups, and Virtual Private Networks.
The service is already receiving some positive reviews from users. Househam Sprayer is one of the businesses, which has got the service installed. The IT manager for the company, Stephen Heath, says that they are more than happy with the connection. Their upstream speeds have increased to 2Mb, which no other service in the area offers, while the download speeds have also increased two fold.
The speed increases mean that the new connection is now offering a perfect backbone for Househam Sprayer’s virtual private network. The employees can now access the network conveniently, irrespective of whether they are in a far off location or at their homes.
Customers based in rural locations can also register for the service. Although, the providers caution that the broadband speeds would get progressively slower as users move away from the local exchange.
Interested businesses can call 01522 814400 to get in touch with BT Local Business to register for the service, or click on business broadband for excellent advice and information on broadband for businesses from Broadband Genie.
